Ashland First UMC seeks to be a postive influence on our community. Whether through creative programming, unique worship opportunties, or simply providing a hot meal, we know there are many needs in Ashland and Greater Ashland. We don't try to tackle every need. There are many churches and para-church organizations in Ashland that do amazing things in our community. We don't view this as competition, but rather a blessing.

What we offer is unique to Ashland First. Below are a list of ministries we offer to our community. You are invited to either participate or get involved in offering these ministries. Church doesn't just happen inside our four-walls, but happens every day and every moment. We strive for spiritual change and community change. Join us!

Purpose:
To serve the nutritional, spiritual, and emotional needs of the community through food & fellowship provided by intergenerational and inclusive teams of people.

Story:
Before the fire of 2002, that burnt down the entire educational wing of the Ashland First United Methodist Church, the church was actively involved in the Ashland community hunger center. The fire put an end to this ministry. Then during the summer of 2006 as the new building was being completed, Jeff Reep, a member of Ashland First UM Community, shared a dream that God placed on his heart. His dream not only included providing meals to those who may have the need but to also share that meal with them in a way that is very relational. That dream became what we are now calling FEAST NIGHT.
