We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us for worship. But even beyond that, we invite you or your family to join us for any of our ministry opportunities. At Ashland First, we are a family first. Our church is not the building, but rather the lives of individuals and families that call Ashland First their spiritual home.

From the moment you step inside our doors, you will feel welcome. We know no one is perfect. We all have our faults. But at Ashland First, our doors are always open (except for when we lock them at night). We don't require or even ask that you get your life in order before you join us...that's what the church is there for. We believe that the church is like a hospital. If our lives were perfect in every aspect, we would not have the need for God. But our lives are anything but perfect. In fact, for many of us, our lives are a complete mess. But like a hospital, the sick and wounded are welcome. Within and outside of our walls, you will feel welcomed, loved, and accepted...just as you are. By doing "life-together", we can all move toward healing in Jesus Christ.

If you decide to join us for worship, you might find the following info helpful:

>Service Time: Sunday mornings at 9:30am with Life Groups at 10;45 (until 11:45am - plenty of time to go out for lunch)

>Where to Park: We offer parking across the street off of 3rd Street (click contacts for a map to our building). We also have additional parking the west of our building in the doctor's office lot. Finally, handicapped parking is available directly in front of our main entrance.

>Our Welcome Center: We know coming to a new church can be scary and uncomfortable, especially since everyone else seems to know everyone else and know where everything is. From the moment you enter our facility, you will be greeted by members of our hospitality team that are available to point you in the right direction or answer any questions. We also offer a Welcome Center that has information regarding our Sunday Morning Life Groups, their locations and also information regarding nursery needs. We also have a small gift for you on your first visit.

>Our Service: Come just as you are (fully clothed preferable). You will find individuals in full suits, but also those in jeans and t-shirts. If you worship best with a tie or dress, go for it! If you worship best in your favorite jeans and hoodie, by all means, come that way. Like we've said, we're a family and care more that your here, desiring to draw close to God, than how you choose to dress. Also, there are no assigned seats like in elementary school. You can either sit on our main level or have an aerial view from our balcony. Sit wherever you are most comfortable. You're welcome to bring your child into the service or utilize our newly-remodeled nursery (located in our lower level). We offer a nursery paging system, so if your child needs you, you'll know right away!

>Communion: The first Sunday of each month we celebrate the sacrament (churchy) word of Communion. This is a tradition among the Methodist Church...regardless of which UMC you attend on the 1st Sunday, it's a safe bet to know Communion will be offered. You do not have to be a member of our church or the United Methodist Church for that matter to take part. Your faith in Jesus Christ makes you welcome at the table. You do not have to participate in you wish not to. Click HERE to learn more about our belief in Communion.

>Tithing: As our guest, you are encouraged to simply worship and pass on the offering. Our members support our ministries with their faithful giving. Their blessings from God in their own lives lead them to support the ministries of Ashland First. We don't expect you to give, in fact, we give you a gift!
